Can I put kids bug spray on my 14 month old?

We have a house kind of out in the country and the bugs are awful around here. We have the citronella candle but it doesn't help when she is running around the yard. Is it ok to use bug spray on her? We have a west nile virus warning here where we live, so I would like to use it. Just wondering! Thanks!
