Is pale skin really unattractive?

I am a blonde girl with blue eyes. I have normal pale skin (not extreme pale). I don't like to do the artificial tanning because it streaks. i dont want to damage my skin by tanning and look like an old leather chick. it ages you. can you still be attractive with skin like mine?
